Introduction
Pinocchio is a simple, fun glider for kids to build and experiment with. It weighs only 5.2 grams and takes approximately 20 minutes to build. It is designed for indoor and outdoor flight (but with minimal wind).
KIT content
The package includes two 1.5 mm-thick Balsa plates with all precut parts. In addition, a 3D-printed nose-balance-weight and assembly instructions are provided.
The package doesn't include glue or a craft knife.
Assembly Instructions (larger format)
Use either PVA, Balsa Cement, or Thin CA glue. Look for the unique glue symbol in the instructions below that indicates when and where to apply the selected glue.
Assembly Instructions (compact format)
Use either PVA, Balsa Cement, or Thin CA glue. Look for the unique glue symbol in the instructions below that indicates when and where to apply the selected glue.
Balancing
Balancing the glider is important to achieve a smooth and long flight. Use the supplied balancing jig and instructions below to balance your glider. Add or remove a small amount of weight from the nose of the glider to maximize flight distance and stability.
Test flight
Best results are achieved when launching the glider indoors. Outdoor flights are also possible, but it's recommended to wait for minimal or no wind.
Several launch trials are usually needed to find the right launching strength and angle. To maximize flight distance and stability, the balancing of the glider can be further improved by adding or removing a small amount of weight from the nose of the glider.
ENJOY AND FLY SAFELY!
